Honest Photography For The People You Love

Leading With Authenticity

On a wedding day, my role is to create an atmosphere of composure and joy. I approach each celebration with professionalism, care, and a documentary mindset - leading from a photojournalistic perspective that prioritizes candid moments and real connection over forced direction.

My philosophy is simple - if you’re in the frame, it belongs. The people around you, the way they show up for you, and the moments that unfold naturally are what matter most. I focus on what’s real, allowing your day to move organically while capturing it honestly.

I’m there as a steady presence and a trusted companion - someone you can rely on and genuinely enjoy spending your day with. No wedding is lost on me. This is your day, and it’s treated with the attention, respect, and intention it deserves.

My Approach

A Witness to the Joy

My presence on a wedding day is calm, prepared, and attentive. I arrive early, get a feel for the space and the people in it, and let things unfold naturally from there. I'll offer direction during portraits so you feel confident and at ease — but beyond that, I stay in the background and focus on what's real. The joy, the in-between moments, the ones nobody planned. That is what I am always looking for.

I. THE BASICS

Where are you based?

I'm based in Charlottesville, VA and genuinely excited to travel wherever your day takes us. I take on a limited number of weddings each year — intentionally — so that every couple and every day gets the time, presence, and care it truly deserves.

What is your editing style?

My signature editing style is true-to-life with a modern, editorial edge. I preserve natural tones and authentic detail while incorporating slightly higher contrast and medium-to-bright exposure; all of which creates imagery that feels timeless yet refined.

This aesthetic is the heart of my work and a large part of why couples choose me. For that reason, I do not alter my editing style from wedding to wedding. Consistency is important to me, and it ensures your gallery reflects the cohesive, elevated look you see throughout my portfolio.

If you’re drawn to my work, you can trust that your images will carry that same intentional style and care.

II. THE PROCESS

How do I book?

If my work resonates with you, start by filling out the inquiry form. I’ll then send over my investment guide and invite you to schedule a Google Meet if we haven’t connected already. During our call, we’ll get to know each other, talk through your vision, and make sure we’re the right fit. When you’re ready to move forward, a signed contract and 30% retainer officially reserve your date.

How far in advance should we book?

For weddings, I recommend booking at least 9-18 months in advance to secure your date, as my calendar fills up quickly! For other sessions, booking 4 weeks to a few months ahead is ideal, but always reach out—last-minute openings may be available!

If you’re ready for photographs that feel honest, rich, and full of heart, I’d be so honored to walk into this season with you.
